Energy production

Supporting safe and sustainable energy production

For decades, ATA Gears has been designing and manufacturing bevel gears for the energy sector, for example for water turbines. Hydroelectric power plants continue to be an important sector for us, and we are also contributing to the global effort to take wind powered energy to its highest potential. The construction and service of offshore wind farms requires specialized vessels with high maneuverability. They are therefore equipped with multiple thrusters (azimuth and tunnel thrusters), many of which are driven by ATA’s bevel gears. In addition to bevel gears, ATA has also produced highly specialized cylindrical gear components for the water-flow control mechanisms of hydropower plants.
