ATA Gears’ new DMG MORI NT6600 is a remarkable EU-supported project

The DMG MORI NT6600/4000 DCG, which has just completed a successful implementation phase, is a massive turn & mill center weighing nearly 50 tons. The machine includes several unique technical solutions, for example, direct drive for both turning and milling spindles. With a four-meter centre distance and a turning diameter of over a meter, the NT6600 is ATA’s largest and most impressive machine to date, designed for the highly precise tooth finishing of large gears.

In terms of length, this project, co-funded by the European Union, is no dwarf: the purchase contract was signed in June 2023 and successful commissioning began in October 2024. The machine, now fully operational, is suitable for both heavy turning and extra-fine finishing.

By making significant machine investments, ATA Gears aims to shorten machine time, thereby improving cost efficiency and ensuring smooth deliveries to customers.
