What’s new at ATA Gears?
ATA Gears is expanding operations
Construction of our new production facility at Hautalankatu in Tampere is well underway and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. When operational, this new facility will serve both as the ATA Gears’ new headquarters and as a more versatile production plant. Through this major expansion project, the ATA aims to achieve improvements in manufacturing capacity, productivity, and environmental performance. ATA’s growth outlook is strong, and the company is investing in its personnel and gear manufacturing capabilities. The expansion of the facility on Hautalankatu includes €17 million worth of investments in machinery and equipment — covering automation for both production and logistics management, as well as high-quality machining centers. The capacity of the heat treatment facility will also be increased.

Our gear engineering is proud to announce the development of an innovative, iterative method to optimize tooth contact pressure distribution on spiral bevel gears. The self-improving algorithm delivers a more uniform load distribution and significantly higher safety factors. Transmit more power through the same gear drive or achieve the same power output with a smaller, lighter, and more efficient unit!
